Audition, Sleep, and My Eyes

Well, my audition went pretty well. It’d been nice if I could have played that damn diminished chord correctly at least once, but that was just nerves.

Well, I’m looking forward to sleep. I’ve done a lot of that today. And I even had 7 1/2 hours of sleep last nite. Granted, I kept waking up every once in a while (don’t know why) and I’d be thinking full speed. I don’t even know what I was thinking about, just the fact that I was thinking, thinking. Then I’d fall back asleep shortly after waking. So, I’m not really sure how deeply I slept, since I was aware I woke up and that I was thinking, minus specifics. I slept in the car on the way home (about a three hour drive) and then took a half-hour nap before dinner.

And now I’m planning to go to sleep and it’s only 10:11 PM. Amazing. So, supposedly, I should be awake tomorrow. Right? Uh, right.

Regardless, I’ll be able to see well by 4th period. I’m going to the eye doctor’s during 3rd to pick up my new glasses and (overnight!) contacts. I’m excited. To be able to see up to par (my 20/40 version of par) for the first time in two years. Woot!

What a sad thing to be excited about. But, I do get overnight contacts. Which is the coolest thing I’ve ever had eye-wise. (Being turned yellow to look at the back of my eyes and having electrodes stuck on my eyes definitely don’t fall into the “cool” category. Though those two things are probably the most unusual things I’ve done eye-wise.)
